It is fall recruiting season for Cub Scout packs and Scouts BSA troops in central Illinois. School age kids may come home with flyers containing information about special recruiting nights near you. You can locate a pack or troop in East Peoria at beascout.org.

Scouting is for boys and girls from kindergarten to age 17 and their families. The traditional Scouting America programs are a safe place for all kids, offering fun, learning, and adventure in the great outdoors, from camping, hiking, and fishing, to STEM activities, merit badges, citizenship, and leadership training.

Cub Scouts is fun for the whole family, with programs for boys and girls grades K-5. Cub Scouts start with their best right-now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It is fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth age 11-17 in the 5th grade through high school. Service, community engagement, and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as Scouts lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.
