National Multiple Sclerosis Society

March is MS Awareness Month and is a dedicated time to raise awareness, support those affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), and advocate for continued research toward a cure. This year, the National MS Society Central Illinois Community Council kicked off MS Awareness Month with a special event the week of March 9 – 15 with: “Light the Murray Baker Bridge Orange.” This initiative aims to shine a literal and figurative light on MS, encouraging community engagement and support.
Raising awareness is a collective effort, and you can make a difference by engaging with the National MS Society’s social media channels on Facebook and Instagram. Sharing your personal story or a message of encouragement using the hashtag #MSAwareness can help spread the word and inspire others to take action. The new organizational tagline, “MS Ends With Us,” reinforces this message. This aspirational phrase represents both the ongoing efforts to reduce the impact of MS through advocacy, education, and support and the ultimate goal of finding a cure.
For the past nine years, the tagline “Together We Are Stronger” has served as a rallying cry for the MS movement. Now, with advancements in research and treatment, the National MS Society believes that an end to MS is more possible than ever. “MS Ends With Us” signals a renewed commitment to funding research, driving policy changes, and providing essential services for individuals living with MS.
The National MS Society, founded in 1946, is the leading global organization dedicated to creating a world free of MS. By funding cutting-edge research, advocating for better policies, and offering vital programs and services, the Society empowers people affected by MS to live their best lives.
