Get Involved: Warmer Weather Means More to Do!

April is a busy month for the Fon du Lac Park District as it marks the beginning of spring activities and the transition from the winter months. With the arrival of warmer weather, parks and facilities come alive with a variety of events and programs designed to engage community members of all ages.
Thanks to the Fon du Lac Park District Maintenance Department, they have been working hard on opening bathrooms, preparing parks, shelters, trails, and fitness courts. Playgrounds have been refreshed with new mulch, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for children to play. For the golf enthusiast, Quail Meadows Golf Course is already open for the season. Quail Meadows Driving Range opens on April 1st and offers natural teeing areas for your enjoyment. On April 15th, the Fon du Lac Golf Course staff welcomes back its visitors. It is the perfect opportunity to dust off your clubs on this 9-hole, par 3 golf course that is challenging for the experienced golfer and beginner friendly for the novice. The Farm Park opens its doors on April 24 and is sure to delight visitors of all ages, featuring a charming array of farm animals and the much-anticipated arrival of new baby goats and chicks. Families can enjoy a hands-on experience, learning about the care and nurturing of these adorable creatures while gaining insight into the workings of a farm. With its picturesque setting and interactive exhibits, Farm Park provides an educational and entertaining outing that promises to create lasting memories. Fon du Lac Farm Park is open Thursday – Sunday, April 24 – May 25 for their spring hours. Sports enthusiasts can gear up for the start of various leagues for youth and adults. Currently, registration is open for the Adult Men and Co-ed Softball Leagues and for Youth Leagues, including Girls Softball and early registration for Fall Soccer. While those seeking new skills, hobbies, or things just for fun can enroll in a range of recreational classes. The Park District offers options for all ages!
