The East Peoria Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Cassie Schurter as the new Office/Communications Manager. She recently moved to East Peoria after many years in the Peoria area and has a deep passion for books, education, and the arts. With a background in theatre and a black belt in karate, Cassie brings passion and discipline to everything she does. She has worked at Fondulac Library, CJHS, and ICC, fostering a love of learning within the community. She loves hiking, playing games, and going on adventures with her husband and two stepchildren.

April promises to be a very busy month. We Celebrated the new Five Below location next to Kohl’s with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 4. Opening day for Cars and Coffee was on April 5 in the Bass Pro parking lot. And on April 12, the Center for the Prevention of Abuse I Run with Survivors run/walk and Fondulac Library’s Star Wars Day was held in the Levee District. 

Friday Night Lights at Bass Pro is on April 18. Easter Seals Run, Walk & Rally is on the following day, April 19. A ribbon cutting ceremony for John Graham & Associates will take place on April 22. Please join us at these events.
